Advanced Digital Marketing Strategies

I thought Advance Digital Marketing Strategies was going to be about social media marketing, mobile advertising, and email marketing but more in depth. Some of these were touched on in the IMAP created throughout this course, but not specifically. I was expecting more certificates, such as Google’s Mobile Ads, HubSpot’s Email Marketing, etc. to be some assignments due throughout this course so when we have graduated it will be easier for us to find a job and already have some qualifications under our belt. However, Advance Digital Marketing Strategies was about establishing trust through media kits, security implements, and creating a business that is more human than others. This is much more encouraging than creating ads just to sell.

I appreciated this course more than I expected because I realized that marketing is not only about selling a product, but connecting with customers and creating a wholistic community. Implementing some of the teachings I learned throughout this course will allow me to better present marketing plans to bosses and represent the customer at the same time. Creating a website that is easy to navigate, informative for consumers, and ad campaigns are simple ways to get a business’s name out. Including the data to back up how well campaigns will bring in new customers is the best thing I learned in this course. Media Kits was a new thing I learned about and I thought it was a great idea to have another business essentially do the work for you to promote your own business. There was a lot of self studying to do throughout this course but I feel like I am better prepared for real work now.
