Radical self-reliance comes from following your most dangerous ideas.

“It comes from making the dangerous choice, not because it is dangerous, but because it is big. Too many of the choices we make are small and safe, because that’s what we’ve been taught to do. But by putting stock in your most dangerous ideas, you’ll do far bigger things than you would ever do otherwise. And isn’t that the point? To live a life that you aren’t embarrassed by?” Ash Ambirge created The Middle Finger Project because she was done with her boring 9 to 5 job with leaders who were manipulative and self-obsessed. I think that we can learn a lot by giving fruit to our most dangerous ideas and believing in our own capabilities. We can create new and maybe radical ideas or businesses that will change today’s standards. We just need to be confident in ourselves and throw away the idea that we need a 9 to 5 job to be successful.

Inspirational Post

My husband inspires me everyday. This may sound like a sappy love story but it’s true, he inspires me. He can be so confident and outgoing, which are my weaknesses. For example, he has no problem speaking in a crowd, or debating his point. If I am having a tough time getting my point across to a group of people, he chimes in and helps me out. Then proceeds to argue on my behalf. He always has my back and supports my decisions. This includes my journey towards mastery. In fact, he jokingly said that I should write about him for this post because I was having trouble finding something to write about. It may have been a joke to him, but I took it seriously and it is the easiest post I have written so far. Love can seem daunting at times, but if you find the right person to support you, you can go so much further with your dreams and have new experiences you thought you would never do.

Inspiration

What inspires you? It could be anything, big or small. For me it comes from the people I meet when I travel. They are always so hospitable and kind. They are eager to learn about my life in America and I am eager to learn about theirs. A dew years ago I was fortunate to go to Japan’s International Cadet Conference. Here, cadets from all around the world came to Yokohama, Japan to talk about their country’s national security issues and other similar topics. What I enjoyed most was getting to learn about everybody’s country and culture. The Japanese students were very humble, kind, and polite. They were so happy to share their food, traditions, and stories. This kind of interaction inspires me to keep learning and connect on a deeper level. Instead of looking at pictures on the internet of beautiful scenes, I want to experience the people.

Intention Statement

Do your little bit of good where you are; it is those little bits of good put all together that overwhelm the world.

— Desmond Tutu.

Over the next 12 months I plan on immersing myself in my Digital Marketing Master’s program. I want to become more knowledgeable in the field of marketing and be able to better express myself through creative outlets. I have never been the outgoing type “A” person, but I love to connect with people throughout work and other hobbies of mine. It is a weakness that I have been trying to work on since college.

Recently, I have been working with an advertising company, Shop Dine Play, near my hometown by running their social media campaigns. Shop Dine Play sends advertisements to the local area with coupons so that people can save money or try something new. Reports have shown that since Shop Dine Play’s social media footprint has grown, consumers have been more active in using these coupons. I am proud of myself for helping the company grow, but I feel like I can do more. This company connects the local community and promotes them by advertising for them. However, I do not know how to be more involved in the community because I have not learned enough knowledge yet. I believe that Shop Dine Play can do more than just send out coupons but bring local shops together through festivals, “shop local Saturdays”, or having one business work with another to reach a bigger goal. I hope to learn more about web design, SEO, and how social media influences people. That is why I am so excited to start my mastery journey.

About Me

Get to know what I stand for and what I am doing to pursue my goals.

My name is Adreana Chebat. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I am a 2LT in the GA Army National Guard as a Transportation Officer. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing because I believe that this field can have a great impact on providing outreach for any kind of program you wish to support. For me, my inspiration comes from Coca-Cola’s “Small World Machines”. The idea to break down barriers and join people together can create a magical moment and you forget why nations are against each other.

I grew up as a triplet and always enjoyed spending time with my siblings. I joined the National Guard because I have a great love for my country. I also wanted to be able to work on the civilian side so that I can be more creative in my work. I have been in the military for almost six years now and have loved every minute. My passions include classical music on the piano and working out. I have never fit into a specific role because I indulge in the arts and also love shooting and martial arts. Many people think that they need to fit into a certain role or job because society says so, but I say be who you want to be! If people give you negative feed back, learn from it and keep being you.
